Take your t-shirt, fold it in three, take one of these layers and fold it so you have 8 layers. This is what I do when I take off old shirts to make a patchwork quilt. These scissors cut through as if it were a single layer of fabric. Smoothly, without binding, without tension. Cloth might as well be oil, it cuts through so easily. I love these scissors. Everyone I've tried has been amazed at the difference. My daughter got a left handed pair, my niece ordered a pair and my sister is about to get them. I have the best scissors I have ever used and have been making for a very long time. If anything happened to this pair I would immediately order another to replace them - no question.
