This product was recommended to me by a friend, but I'm a brunette who had my gray highlights professionally done in March. Although slowly (even with the right hair products) the gray started to fade and my hair turned into a bright orange copper disaster. Here is my experience with this product: I didn't read many reviews at first to see how the product worked with my hair. I treated it like regular shampoo and followed the directions on the bottle. On my first wash I applied a decent amount and rubbed it through my hair and let it sit for a few minutes. I washed it off and then applied a nourishing hair mask. I was generally disappointed with the results of this wash as there was little to no change in my hair. this is the best rating for this product) it is recommended to keep the shampoo for about 10 minutes and wash thoroughly with shampoo beforehand. She also recommended conditioning thoroughly afterwards, as this product dries the hair a bit. And to GRATITUDE this method worked. I used my regular shampoo to protect the color, let it sit for a few minutes, washed it off, put purple shampoo on my hair, tied my hair in a bun and let it sit for 8-10 minutes. BEWARE, THIS DANGERS YOUR HANDS IN LAVENDER PURPLE mainly under the nails and on the fingertips, but this will disappear in a day or two (depending on how often you wash your hands during the day). After rinsing, I apply a conditioner mask to my hair and rinse it out. After two washes (since this review was posted) the sass is mostly gone and I'm starting to get more of a grey-blonde shade that's almost identical to how it looked when I had it done professionally! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who has already bleached their hair and wants to get rid of that cheek!
