Review on 🔒 Standard Plastic Latch for Igloo Cooler by Christopher Gotcher

It's hard to believe that Igloo could make such a poor quality LATCH and give it the same part number as the original. Finish off with a photo of the original. Order it and get the new version. VERY ERROR. So what's wrong with the new style? Thin brittle plastic, need to drill a hole for a new male part (one screw instead of two) Then comes the pathetic part, IT WON'T HOLD! I bought two sets of these latches for two 128 marine coolers. Marine coolers were a significant investment and you must maintain them. No doubt the original clasps could be improved but the new version is rubbish. I've always bought the best Igloo coolers and kept them for years. These latches are the weakest part of the cooler and they convinced me to research other brands carefully before buying new coolers. The Revain company I bought them from was very accommodating and refunded the purchase price rather than the shipping cost. So I'll be using snaps for now and hope they last a season.
