🔒 Standard Plastic Latch for Igloo Cooler Review

I have a large igloo fridge and one of the latches broke over time. I replaced the latch with this one, but the latches were different and the handle placement was slightly different. This latch is loose compared to the original. Works but could be better.

I assumed (my fault) that this is for 2 bars. No, that is not so. It's only 1 bar. You can purchase a set of 2 for a total of $6.90. If I was paying attention I would NOT buy this but would buy 2 packs. The bars are ok, they're stiff, ribbed, but they work. But for the price you only get 1 star.

I thought this would work with the original fastener but the alignment didn't work. So, according to the guide, I installed a new post. After installation, I noticed that the latch lifted the lid slightly. Since screwing into the plastic is required to install a new post, reinstalling the post in the correct position will create a new hole close to the first. It's hard to believe that Igloo could make such a poor quality LATCH and give it the same part number as the original. Finish off with a photo of the original. Order it and get the new version.
