It was recommended for new tattoos. I'm surprised it didn't prick my new ink. I can tell it stings a little when cut (strange). But its antibacterial properties make it highly sought after. If it gets in your eyes (like most soaps) it will sting. The skin does not dry out, which is very pleasant. Overall, compared to all the unscented Dove soaps and other "moisturizing" soaps I've bought, this is amazing. It's orange and will stain the surface, so it's best to have some sort of tray for it.
