Hefty, heavy duty, excellent quality. I didn't know how to open the scissors all the way. If it wasn't for the video by I think, Chris 5, I would not have know how to do it. Once you pull out the scissor handle, keep bending it back until the cutters come out. No instructions come with it on how to do it.I love this item. I held out for years trying to find a multi-tool with scissors and a knife. I am so happy I found this. I love the fact that among the other tools, it also has a fire-starter.Before I got this tool, my dog and I were in the woods, and he got caught among thick vines. He was on my leash which I have belted around my waste. So we were both stuck. I wished I had a knife to cut us out of this entanglement. Luckily, I untangled ourselves. However, if I couldn't, I would have needed a knife to cut us out. This situation drove me to find this tool, with just the right knife I was looking for.
