Ideal for cutting young shoots and garden greens

I will continue to share my impressions of garden tools manufactured by Fiskars, which I use with pleasure. This time I will tell you about the Fiskars flat pruner (art. 111260). The Fiskars 111260 secateurs belongs to the budget line of Fiskars products - Single Step ™. As the name implies, the pruner type is planar. Unlike contact pruners (on the review there are, for example, reviews of this type of pruner - Fiskars Single Step (art. 111250)), designed for cutting dry branches, flat pruners…

Pros

Inconvenient, copes with the task at a C grade.

Fiskars secateurs are one of the most common in garden stores in Moscow, I bought mine at the OBI store. At that time, I didn’t know anything about the manufacturer, I just took the one that seemed more convenient. The pruner is not cheap, it is made of high quality, it has a latch. Designed for cutting young wood. It consists of a cutting blade and an emphasis. Now about practical use. For me, it opens wide, so the grip is uncomfortable, more suitable for a man's hand. Handles made of durable

Spring must not be missing! Smaller "mouth " than my old ones.

What I like: Well made side scissors Comfortable grip. And I'm glad to finally find a pruner that has NO visible spring between the handles which I always lose! What I don't like: These secateurs are designed to cut branches up to 5/8" while the Fiskars open a little wider to cut branches up to 3/4". In my opinion, more powerful secateurs are able to handle even slightly larger branches are worth a few bucks more These secateurs are a few bucks cheaper so despite being a little lighter than my…

Great reliable shears that will last for years

I have been a volunteer caretaker for a 7 acre cemetery for 31 years. I garden at the cemetery at least 4 days a week. We regularly have small groups of people who volunteer to help, so I have 6 of these scissors. They are very affordable and durable. They cut well, but don't try to cut anything wider than about half an inch or you'll disable the blades. Several times a year I lubricate all moving parts of these scissors with a little household oil so that they can be opened and closed easily…

  • Pleasant to use

  • Very expensive

Exceptionally low quality product - not the Fiskars I was familiar with

I bought these based on the Fiskars name compared to an equally highly rated but unknown Chinese brand. Upon receipt I trimmed 1 blueberry and 2 new Japanese plum trees (still in pots). The blueberries seemed to go through normally, the blades diverged several times, and at the end of only a dozen cuts on the branches, no more than 3/8ths, the blade was quite nicked. Then I went and trimmed my plums and removed some branches that I didn't need. While cutting the branch on the middle ladder…

A kitchen knife goes faster.

I'll be honest; I hate these scissors. I had a small pair that I accidentally bought at a hardware store a few years ago and I loved them, but had no idea what brand they were. When they disappeared somewhere in my yard, I turned to Revane for help choosing a new pair. The reviews for these scissors were so positive I thought I was right. Boouuu I hate her. They are a lot bigger than I expected and for someone with small hands (like mine) that's a big deal. I don't like the size, but I can live

Pros
  • permanent test results

  • disappearance

Not like before

I was a loyal Fiskars customer for years until 2 pairs of these pruning shears changed my mind. Whilst I appreciate Fiskars offering a 'lifetime guarantee' it is very annoying to photograph them, send info to Fiskars etc. I've had a few of these since about 2008 and have worked like a champ and even sharpened them have been once or twice. . However, pruning the tough stalks of plants like bamboo wears out any secateurs over time. So I bought this pair believing they would work just as well as…
