Review on Fiskars 91095935J ๐ŸŒฟ Classic Bypass Pruner, Black by John Boyce

A kitchen knife goes faster.

I'll be honest; I hate these scissors. I had a small pair that I accidentally bought at a hardware store a few years ago and I loved them, but had no idea what brand they were. When they disappeared somewhere in my yard, I turned to Revane for help choosing a new pair. The reviews for these scissors were so positive I thought I was right. Boouuu I hate her. They are a lot bigger than I expected and for someone with small hands (like mine) that's a big deal. I don't like the size, but I can live with that. The real problem is their lack of cutting ability. Large as they are, they aren't particularly sharp and don't do well on woody or fibrous vegetation like rose stems or tall grass. For example, when trying to cut a rose stem (medium size - I'm not trying to cut something that long-handled secateurs are better for), the blades diverge and deviate from each other so they don't actually cut the stem, which forced me to put both hands at the base of the rosebush, grab the scissors with both hands and force them to close. Then, on the other end of the spectrum, with thinner materials like reeds or dead bird of paradise leaves, the blades aren't close enough together to make a clean cut - I usually have to grab the item with scissors and then twist and pull a few times, before plucking a leaf from a plant. Definitely an inferior product.
