I bought these based on the Fiskars name compared to an equally highly rated but unknown Chinese brand. Upon receipt I trimmed 1 blueberry and 2 new Japanese plum trees (still in pots). The blueberries seemed to go through normally, the blades diverged several times, and at the end of only a dozen cuts on the branches, no more than 3/8ths, the blade was quite nicked. Then I went and trimmed my plums and removed some branches that I didn't need. While cutting the branch on the middle ladder (< 1/2 inch) the shears separated and cut the bark into the tree instead of making the clean cut I was trying to make. My $80 tree is badly damaged by these cheap pos shears. Save $10 and use your teeth, they cut sharper than this crap. fast if it weren't for the fact that the "blade" looks more like a cow's molars after a single use. > I seriously doubt they even bothered to treat the blade with any sort of heat treatment based on how quickly it was damaged and dull
