I teach in a high school and I can't tell you how many electric pencil sharpeners I've used. All the pencil sharpeners I had in my class only lasted a year or two and then either stopped working or started to burn out. This pencil sharpener is probably one of the best pencil sharpeners I've ever bought. I bought a 4 year warranty/protection plan but I really don't think I'll need it with this product (knock on wood). High quality, powerful, quickly sharpens pencils. This sharpener can even sharpen colored pencils! One of the features I appreciate the most is that there is a small notice/warning label at the top that says "don't press too hard when inserting the pencil or the machine will 'buzz' and won't work. ." (A reminder my students seem to need!) I would recommend this product to anyone, especially teachers!
