It has the deepest baffle of any recessed light I could find online or in a retail store. Many newer LED lights have a shallower depth than the CFL equivalent. I have several recessed lights in my kitchen, and after replacing CFLs with LEDs, I have a problem with glare when looking at fixtures from the side. The deep baffle of this unit really helps with glare. The light is very pleasant and the flange is designed in such a way that the edge of the lamp is as flush as possible with the ceiling. I tried three other devices before. I highly recommend this, especially when glare might be an issue.
