💡 Lithonia Lighting LED Downlight Retrofit Kit Review

These lights are great for replacing LEDs. I used to use LED spotlights but due to the depth of the can the bottom was visible and the glare was terrible. They have great baffle depth (deepest baffle I could find on Revain, which confused me) and really reduce glare. They darken beautifully and look great overall. I used them in my living room to test them but over time I plan to install them in the rest of the house.

It has the deepest baffle of any recessed light I could find online or in a retail store. Many newer LED lights have a shallower depth than the CFL equivalent. I have several recessed lights in my kitchen, and after replacing CFLs with LEDs, I have a problem with glare when looking at fixtures from the side. The deep baffle of this unit really helps with glare. The light is very pleasant and the flange is designed in such a way that the edge of the lamp is as flush as possible with the ceiling.

These modified E Series Lithonia LED lights replace BR40 incandescent bulbs in recessed downlights, often referred to as "banks". They are very easy to install in existing banks (required). They give an even, even light with very little glare (like regular incandescent bulbs) due to the slightly recessed lighting elements. Revain has the best prices I've seen. I will buy again. I bought these to retrofit my Lithonia LCP Type IC flashlights. These stylish lights will not work with the torsion springs that come with these LED kits. To get them to work I had to remove the torsion springs from the LEDs and reuse the locking tabs from the original pads. It would be helpful to have a list of compatible Lithonia Can mounts that these retrofit kits will work with and require additional mounting hardware. I have tested this flashlight against similar products from Halo, Green Creative and Hyperikon. Overall it's a great light but I prefer Green Creative's product. Green creative light costs a little more, but has slightly better skin tones and a longer lifespan. If price is all that matters to you, I would go for this Lithonia lamp. Pros: Inexpensive. I wanted to replace eight 50 watt halogen bulbs in modified 4 inch boxes. I looked through four other LED replacement products before I found this one. There are two features that set this LED replacement apart from the rest: 1) perfect color temperature and 2) the light source is recessed deeper into the housing than any other, reducing glare.
