These pants are perfect. You are strong. Fast drying. The pants have a zipper to remove the leg from the knees. Also known as zipper pants. My son is 4ft 3in and weighs 68lbs. First I bought a medium but it was too big. I kept it because I was very happy with it. Side pockets and 1 side zip pocket. It has no back pockets. A bit of a shame, but not critical. My son and I went hiking and encountered snow. Parts of his legs were wet. It was dry within 20 minutes. Exactly what I was looking for. They are perfect for summer hiking. Columbia, please add a few more back pockets. That would be the only advice I can give you.
