placed a brand new frying pan in the toaster. Even before the oven reached temperature (350F) I heard a noise and looked into the oven. 1 corner was more than half an inch above the oven shelf. Don't worry about returns. All thin metal stamped trays from all manufacturers probably have the same problem. Any residual stress from their formation will be released when you heat them.
