Review on Tiki Cat Luau Wet Food: Poultry or Fish in Consomme for Adult Cats & Kittens, Grain & Potato Free! by Sharon Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Thumbs up. - Cats

There are 6 flavors but they are visually similar so I only photographed 3 to show the contents. My 3 kittens love Tiki Cat. Proper hydration is important for cats, so I "rinse" the jar by rinsing it out with some warm water and then pouring it into the bowl to add more juice. Warm water also helps release odors for cats. My people love it very much and drink it quickly. Cats can be fussy because they like routine and diet changes cause stomach upset. If you've never bought Tiki Cat before, just like any other food, start by buying a few cans from your local pet store. I know PetCo wears it. Mix 3/4 old canned food with 1/4 TC. I would recommend sticking with the same/similar flavors as mixing Turkey Fancy Feast with Sardine TC may not produce a scent that your cat will like. Slowly increase the amount of TC in the mix over the next few days to a week until the food is switched. Older cats may take longer to accept new food, so adjust the amount of TC added to suit your cat. This not only makes the transition easier for you, but also for your cat. If they like it, buy a box of 12. If not, you haven't spent much. If the diet change is not done gradually, it can lead to bloating, gas, diarrhea, etc. This is not bueno. You can't blame them for not wanting the new food right away. Remember that cats, like us, have taste and texture preferences. There is no guarantee that the switch will work. However, a gradual introduction increases the probability of success. If the gradual transition doesn't work, don't let that put you off trying other healthier brands for your cat. This is also no reason for a bad TC rating. They fulfilled their part of the bargain and sent you the product you wanted. It's not her fault that you didn't take the time to properly introduce the food and/or your cat didn't want to eat it. Be careful.
