Very satisfied with the product

I was a little concerned after reading the negative reviews before receiving the product. However, when I received and used the product, I am very satisfied with the product. It was used to remove an Ohlins ya535 spring that was never used. The disassembled spring had no dents. can't even find a scratch. perfectThe product comes in a special iron box. Including instructions and additional protective plastic material. As instructed in the instructions, I applied lube to the threads and top washer. Liquid lubricant has been applied to the inside of the upper jaw, which is difficult to apply. The virtual vertical line where the spring jaw and spring meet is not aligned with the shock shaft. Spring compressors are used as a matter of course with a slightly inclined x-arrangement. This prevents the compressor from slipping easily. But that's not the most important part. This is the most important point. When you compress the spring by turning the spring compressor, torque is generated. You usually absorb the shock to keep the twists from spinning. Do not do that! If you do this the spring compressors can come loose from the spring and cause injury or damage to the spring as per many of the reviews here. You can hold the shock absorber with some force to secure the position. However, the torque driving the spring compressor must be compensated by compressing the spring. The wrench is the best tool. Use a wrench to hold the lower jaw of the spring compressor and turn the spring compressor to compress the spring. Don't overtighten one side at a time, tighten both sides while maintaining balance. To help, I took some photos after the job was done. Please note.

Pros
  • Sold in pairs (mandatory when spring is removed).
