Additional review on 6/22/08: No complaints other than size, both neck circumference and tine size, too big for my average 55 lb dog. I really like the metal clasp and the rubber tips on the teeth. Maybe ok for my 70lb Lab/BC mix. (although I've used a smaller spiked collar for this before). First test, date unknown: Too early to test as I've only used it once due to its size (I've only had it for a few days). My dog has a 16 inch neck near the ears and weighs about 54 pounds so is considered a medium sized dog and the collar size seems average. The average size is too big for them and 1 link was removed with difficulty, leaving only 7 teeth. Still too big and could remove more but will use for my larger dog. Functionally, I like the metal clasp, seems to work well and love the fact that the tips of the prongs are covered in soft tips. I will try to give another review after longer use but other than the size I have no complaints.
