Great product, easy installation and unbeatable price!

I was looking for a smart way to make my 2 desktops wireless. After several searches on various websites, reviews, etc., I found this to be the cheapest option with the best reviews. I received them in the mail within 2 days and they were great. I had no problems installing software etc. Based on a previous review on winxp I followed their advice. I'm sure you wouldn't mind if I post this to help you. And I want to thank them for posting: They quoted: This is a great product. Realtek has long been a great network card chip vendor. The chip on this device is indeed Realtek. This product offers good signal detection and smooth and stable connection. To achieve this, on Windows XP, DO NOT INSTALL the program included on the autorun mini-CD. Instead, plug in the device and use a manual search when the Windows Found New Hardware wizard asks for drivers. Then insert the miniCD and point to the correct directory on the CD according to your operating system. For Windows XP there is a WinXP folder (<drive>WinXP). WARNING: I didn't see the folder but I installed it the same way and didn't run autorun cd>. Then let the add new hardware wizard install the device from there and it will use Windows' built-in wireless manager. It's much easier to use than the vendor's software, which is designed for very low-level management (not for the average user). It picks up signals from all directions and I have 5 tapes on each computer. I've been using it for a few days and have noticed that the device heats up during use. So I would suggest it stands in an area where there could be some sort of ventilation. Hopefully it will continue to work this well for a long time. Even if we move to a two-story house where the main WiFi router and desktop are on the ground floor, it will work just as well as it does now. Which I think should be. For the price it's worth it. And with Revane's return policy, I had nothing to lose.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Nothing
