I recently bought a new 14" MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip as an upgrade from a 2017 MacBook Air. Newer Macs are all USB-C, I have a lot of USB flash drives that I need to customize.I tested these adapters with USB-A USB 3.1 NVMe Disk Enclosure.I got exactly the same baud rate from these adapters as the Apple adapter .They are so affordable I can pop one in for each of the flash drives I use and not have to keep swapping them out. They are much more compact than the cable adapter that Apple sells.Fit them side-by-side with the new 14" MBP , allowing you to connect two USB-A devices at the same time as long as the USB devices are no wider than the adapter.
