I have this in my living room and when it's on you don't even hear it unless you walk up to it and by then you can see the fog. It's almost the size of my tower fan, but since the weather is getting colder we've since removed it and the humidifier has still not been removed. What I like about it is that despite its height, we can put it next to the table and it still doesn't get in the way. Not to mention that even with this amount of fog, nothing on our table or even the table itself will be affected or even damaged by the fog. This humidifier has a lot of settings, but my favorite part is that you can set the time to let it run all day and then automatically turn it off when you don't need it. The remote control is an added convenience, but we've just left it in the top of the holder so you don't lose it. Really easy to fill and easy to clean when we need it. It contains a lot of water and at a gas station it will take us almost 5 days to get through it all.
