Review on 🐈 Efficient Odor Control: Naturally Fresh Walnut Cat Litter - A Natural Choice for Clean & Fragrance-Free Spaces by Carri Taylor

Lots of benefits but not for everyone

I am giving 4 stars because I like the fact that it is made from walnut shells so this product is used for its intended purpose and not on the landfill lands. Don't you like that the bag isn't recyclable, not even terracycling? Oh well! I diluted calico so I never noticed dark paws as others have mentioned, but I could see it was possible. The only "dust" comes from pouring it into the bowl, but it's not clay dust, which neither we nor our feline friends should breathe. I say "dust" in quotes because it doesn't fly through the air like clay. Dust, you only see very small pieces when it pours. It's not a 100% fecal odor elimination, but if I take a minute morning and night to pick it up, it's no big deal. If I have to choose between this and harsh chemicals, I will choose this one. She's an only cat so I'm not sure this will change for a multi-cat house. It tracks, but only just outside of their box (it's fine-grained). And to be honest, I think she's a bit of a kicker and she's more likely to fly out than hold on to her. It doesn't walk to 15 feet like the Garfield brand litter that the shelter sent home with her, or the petco clay litter (both used before it was realized they were bad for her and the environment). If your cat sneezes/has dry eyes easily and you are using clay-based litter, change them. Of course it could be a few things, but there could be a simple fix. Thought mine had an upper respiratory infection from the shelter but that was just her previous litter.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...
