We bought this speaker to use on our boat. My husband immediately put it in the sink with water to test. After it worked great. The sound quality is excellent and the volume is amazing. I like that the sound can be directed by rotating the speaker to the area where you want it to be loudest. I was able to install it in my kitchen and direct the speaker to the kitchen at full volume and the sound wasn't that loud in the living room. It's also great to take a boat for music and not spend $200 on a sound system.
