What is that foul smell?

The plastic case is cheap plastic that smells awful. The problem is that the tool, parts and instructions/warranty card are in the case and therefore also carry the stated smell. I started filling out the warranty card but the smell made me sick. Thing is, I need a tool. I hope it fades with time. I can soak it in a natural solution that will remove the odor, but the tool will rust. The tool is durable, well built, comes in a variety of sizes, and seems easy to use. If the manufacturer can change something about the case, it will give a 4 or 5 star rating.
