I wear women's shoes in size 7.5. I ordered al/xl and they are too tight. I struggled to put them on but once I did I found the support they provided good, much like a podiatrist's note. BUT after about an hour my legs started throbbing and my leg was swollen above the top of the sock. The actual arch of the foot felt good, but the top of the foot and ankle were in trouble. It's only TO HERE! This can work if you have low arches and thin ankles.
