Good Price - Asian Knives

Ok I bought 2 of these for a friend while they were in use. Although I have just received them my first impression is that they represent good value for money. I love the look of damascus steel and have a fairly complete set of Shun knives that are considerably more expensive. My girlfriend is not very careful with knives and a very high quality knife would not be a good investment for her. They only have a damascus steel pattern on the blade. They represent well and I like how they handle it. Not sure about durability but I had some small chips on one of my Shun knives that I may not have been paying attention to but they have had them for over 6 years and have only been professionally sharpened once. As long as you understand these are valuable knives and not heirlooms, I can recommend them.
