Surprisingly easy to fix. Get it when your brake lights stay on and bits of plastic are on the floorboard.

Came to our 2007 Honda Fit-S to find the brake lights on and a dead battery. If this is the case and it is a brake clutch stop, you can usually find pieces of a small plastic stop on the driver's side floorboard. This part stops the pin that goes through the hole in the brake pedal axle. If it's missing, the pin will go through and keep the light on, even with the keys removed from the ignition. The hardest part of the installation for me was removing the Fit's bottom plate to get to the top of the brake shaft. I don't know how long it will last, but seems pretty solid, hard rubber. It snaps into a hole next to a pin, which is relatively painless to push in. Didn't even need tools. If you need video examples of how to fix this, just go to Youtube and search "Honda Brake Lights Staying On". There you will find some helpful guides.
