Used to extend the range of my wireless water sensors

I have wireless water sensors in every bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, under every fridge and kettle. However, due to the limited coverage area of my water sensor points, I wanted to monitor a larger area for each sensor. My research led me to this cable, which I used to extend the detection range of each sensor. It requires some DIY skills, but it's not difficult. Other people have commented on similar usage, so read questions and reviews. The main reason for my purchase is that the cable is cheaper than buying additional water sensors to monitor the same area. Most of my water sensors are a dual contact design that sits on a long wire, and it was pretty easy to plug the sensor wire into an old phone jack. Also, some of my wireless water sensors are on the ground or floor and only have a few metal contacts on the bottom. To do this I had to create a flat contact piece that insulated each sensor pin from each other and glued to the main wireless sensor. I used plastic to make the part. Either way, this cable is great for expanding the water detection range for my needs. FWIW: My wireless water sensors connect to Home Assistant which is set to trigger the wireless dome water master valve to close when water is present. The sensor detects a leak. While this may seem a bit extreme, it has saved me thousands of dollars in water disasters. So, in that regard, the cost of this cable is cheap insurance.
