These 2" Basswood Air Diffusers work like masters. Easy to install, just attach the hose, hose to the air pump. Two months later I still have full water pressure and lots of very small bubbles. One is in my 9 pod Aerogarden and the other is in my 6 gallon tank. My Aerogarden tomatoes are very happy and grow well with more air. I use Nationsl Geo Air pump (now discontinued). Another is in my 6 gallon fresh water tank. Product conforms to the description but I'm not sure how long it will last. When I was recently cleaning a tank I noticed that one was starting to deteriorate. The inscription 'Trademark' is almost gone and the two facing sides are badly worn/corroded; it looks like the air outlet pipe might be. I guess that's to be expected when the wood is submerged in water 24/7. I will decide whether to buy again after seeing the full lifespan of the products. NEW: Today I read that I shouldn't scrub anything when cleaning. I used a sponge to clean, so I may have caused deterioration.
