It's not the product but it's really more than I need for my home build caravan. After considering the size of the battery and solar panels needed to smartly power this baby, I settled on a smaller device. Without considering peak or surge power, 1000 watts when applied to 12 volts requires about 85 amps. Basically you need something like patch cords with a low load just to carry that much current. The wiring doesn't cost that much, but the batteries only cost to be changed every few years after very limited use. I decided to cut everything down and save money in the long run. I have a gas generator anyway in case I ever need that much power.
