I ordered this stainless steel pan to replace the expired Nordicware PTFE non-stick coating. My other pan chipped noticeable bits of teflon in my food. And while it's non-toxic and passport-safe, I found it uncomfortable eating plastic in my food every day. Even when I ran a paper towel or cloth over the edge of the pan after getting out of the dishwasher, there were always rust residues. High time for an exchange. After owning this pan for a month, here are my next comments: + Pros: - Dishwasher safe and durable. I wash this pan once a day in the dishwasher on normal settings and there has been no noticeable wear or tarnishing.- Holds heat well and when used as a serving platter after cooking, the heat can be felt off the bottom and sides of the pan any surface it comes in contact with for 15-20 minutes thereafter. + Cons: - Not at the moment. However, be careful when using proper cooking tools as the surface is prone to scratching when using metal spatulas and spoons with this item.
