This product has caused controversy for me. I would like to give it 5 stars for its performance and build quality but the float switch only works when it is in a very specific orientation which has resulted in it not working properly in every shower it has taken since installation. As you can imagine, this is a hugely disappointing "feature" for an impressive product. It is also worth noting that this pump does NOT have a built in check valve. This has proven helpful in my situation as I don't want the water in the exhaust pipe to be above the frost line and risk freezing when winter returns. However, note that if your application requires a check valve, it must be purchased and installed separately. Meanwhile, I will try to find the best solution to the float switch problem.
