I ordered this roof rack as I was planning to take my car on holiday. Yes, I wanted to go to the beach, I packed my fancy swimsuits and dresses, I couldn't wait to try them on and enjoy them. Then I packed my bags in a luggage rack which was supposed to be waterproof, I wasn't worried about my belongings being damaged because they were secured very well and if it was raining the cargo truck would keep water out...right? No, that is not so. When I got to my destination, I unpacked my things and guess what, my clothes were soaked with water. It rained most of the time while I was driving but I really didn't think it would damage my clothes. However, you can see from the photos I've uploaded here that the darker colors have stained my lighter clothing. I'm on vacation right now but I need to go to the swimwear store before I can go to the beach! I'm returning this item, it's not waterproof so don't buy it.
