The glass lampshade was packaged well and the wiring looks solid but this light is expensive. As you can see in the photo, the lamp socket is not completely closed, which is why the black plastic socket is visible all the time. Brushed nickel looks more like brushed steel than other brushed nickel parts I have. The biggest issue is that I bought it from Revain's inventory and expected it to come with all the hardware. It was in excellent condition but without the round bracket that screws onto the outside of the socket and holds the lampshade on the fixture behind the bulb when hung. What a pity! I was lucky enough to dig up a rusty dressing table which I replaced earlier this week and threw in the bin otherwise it would have had to be returned and I wouldn't have a lamp - I wouldn't buy it again. .
