Review on πŸ’¦ Platypus Big Zip Water Reservoir for Hydration Backpacks, 2-Liter: EVO with Fast Flow Valve, Clear | Ultimate Hydration Solution by Mark Gancio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The only thing missing is a hook for the tip.

I have had many bladder systems over the past few decades. I switched to this Platypus style as my main style a few years ago. You can fail. The plastic of all parts, but especially the cylinder itself, withstands many scratches, bumps, splashes, falls. It doesn't really give the water an odd taste. The top opening is great, especially if you're in a situation where you're trying to fill from a shallow creek or something and the slider on top closes it HARD. I've never had a closed open one even though it's an industrial grade zipper lol and my previous model of this model lived with me on the Appalachian Trail and then in several countries. None of them leaked, neither did the hose attachment point. It has a good flow rate and hose length. It's also great for use with the built in Sawyer filter as you simply cut the tubing and attach each end to the filter and you're good to go. at the top of the handle, but there is no built-in gauge hook for use with backpacks designed for use with retention cameras. This can be bypassed with a mini carabiner or similar if you wish, or works well when using a backpack where it holds up nicely thanks to the pack style or rests on top of your stuff. So basically it works great without and that little bug can be fixed by those who want to use it in a crochet style so I didn't downsize my stars...but it *is* a small point that could have minor flaws. Made changes to it to essentially lift it even higher than it already is. Actually, the summary should be: This is not my first purchase of this product, and with good reason.
