I've been buying Christmas wreaths all year and received two rubber/vinyl coated magnets. I used to use a hook over the door but since there are magnets now I decided to give it a try. I put a magnet on the door with the wreath and it hangs with no problem as the magnets are very strong. Coated should be able to be securely attached to the door. I've read that some have had trouble removing paint with magnets. I hope this doesn't happen, but I'll let you know if it does. Instead there was a round frosted patch on the door. Tried cleaning with different detergents but the round mark is still on the door. On the plus side, I'm going to place the magnet in the same spot but use a white paper backing to tape between the door and the magnet so it doesn't get any worse.
