Really Cool - Accent & Off-Road Lighting

I really like how this setup turned out. I've wanted this type of lighting since I've seen it on some of the earlier cars I've driven. I never thought I could have this feature in my 2011 Chevy Avalanche until I came across these light bars on a Revain. . The price was really reasonable and the installation seemed easy enough so I decided to give it a try. I tested two colors, a transparent blue that closely matched the colors of the interior trim, and a soft white. I went with soft white because I thought it would complement the truck's brown interior better. In order to make the installation as professional as possible, I had to dismantle the door panels and detach part of the dashboard. There were also a few areas where I had to glue in place. Those were areas like above the glove box and under the steering wheel. In these two areas, there is no dash to move the edge to. The final task was to figure out how I would charge them. This part was tricky because I'm risking my long term success by splicing existing wires. One of the things I've found is that for most new cars, plugging them into an existing system isn't recommended. I really wanted these headlights to work with truck dashboards so I took a chance and hooked up to this system. So far it has been a complete success. The backlight illuminates at night when the interior lights are on. They even dim when I dim the dashboard lights. I don't know the lifespan of these bulbs, but I have my fingers crossed that they last. At the moment I'm giving it 5 stars. M.Best did a great job with the delivery time and also accepted returns for unused items. I will update over time.
