Can only be used with plain paper.

I bought these for my class and used them for the first time today. I placed them on the colored card station for the kids to punch through different shapes. I had to replace all the cardboard with regular paper because it wouldn't cut through the cardboard. They just indented this type of paper. Other than that, they seem to work very well. I hope they stand up to use by 5 year olds.

Pros

IS SUITABLE FOR NORMAL THIN PAPER, NO THICKER THAN NOTEBOOK PAPER. This specially designed hole punch is perfect for creating beautiful embossed patterns with interior cutouts on postcards, envelopes, album pages, etc.
