I have an iPad. Didn't use it until a month later as it was a gift for someone. So far the iPad looks and works well. Unfortunately, I wanted to add a WiFi hotspot (to be able to connect to the internet at all times) through my carrier as I had b4, but I didn't realize the iPad needed to have WiFi and cellular. Although I've spent a lot of time looking for the right iPad, I never came across this information. My cmpy phone couldn't help me to figure out why my iPad doesn't have an IMEI number. I contacted the seller (as advised) and the seller told me where to find it. Well I knew it wasn't there because I had already searched. However, after further research I found that if the iPad is only listed as "WiFi" and not as "WiFi and Cellular", device #1 DOES NOT HAVE IMEI # and device #2 cannot get a WiFi hotspot . In other words, a device can only use the internet if it can connect to available Wi-Fi. I asked the seller a direct question about my device and he gave me a general answer on where to find the IMEI number on Apple devices (which didn't help me at all) when I then told the seller that I understand how the devices differ only by WiFi or WiFi and cellular so that they can properly respond to consumers in the future. They replied that they were listed when I bought them, so basically I should have known what I was buying. Your response should have been: I'm sorry you're having trouble setting up your device. Your device only supports Wi-Fi, so you cannot find the IMEI number and add a Wi-Fi hotspot through your carrier. To do this, you must purchase a device that is listed as "Wi-Fi & Cellular". In conclusion, I recommend buying from another seller as these smart pants treat their customers badly when asking for clarification on a product.
