Review on 🔧 Yost Vises 455 Utility Combination: Optimal Performance Tool for Various Applications by Robert Wood

The first one that arrived had jaws that didn't exactly meet, leaving a little over 1/16 inch on one side of the base U-shaped channel that goes through the body of the vise, so I ordered a replacement. Both go back. The biggest problem was that there seemed to be a pivot point in the middle of the jaws. Even when I manually held the jaws in place by tightening the main screw, the opposite side of the jaws moved. Assuming this would minimize displacement at the top of the jaws, I didn't want to bother with it. Again, the guys at Yost thought this could be fixed by simply filing the bottom of the U channel, but I wasn't interested either.
