I have used other selfie sticks that I liked better. This one attracted me because of the light. As a selfie light it doesn't matter unless you're in the dark. My phone already has a flash and that extra light was barely noticeable. You can use it as an additional light source as described. The selfie stick lives up to its advertised specs, which is why I'm giving it four stars. The remote connected to my iPhone 11 without any problems, but it cannot be removed. But you don't actually have to take it off, because a tripod doesn't do that. It also doesn't rotate to take portrait shots. Only used in landscape mode. You can rotate the arm, but that's impractical as it doesn't rotate the way you want it, 90 degrees. But again, the description and pictures don't suggest it's a tripod or anything other than a selfie stick, used only in landscape mode. So read the description carefully and look at the pictures. It is what it says it is - a landscape selfie stick. with additional light. If that's what you want, you'll be happy with it.
