They are suitable for egg incubation and can be fitted with a modified humidifier to create an automatic humidity pump. However, if you rely on this setting alone and otherwise do not add water, the humidistat will have a short lifespan and will begin to stick and fail after a few 21-day incubation cycles. The manufacturer is very good in exchange. After a lot of trial and error we decided that WILLHI wouldn't work so hard to add water the old fashioned way and just let the controller add moisture when we're out or at night. This has significantly increased the life of the humidistat for us. I recommend this product to any incubator looking to build their own humidity pump system.
