Review on Ignite Pro Speakon Gauge Speaker by Dhoal Black

Cables were connected incorrectly, resulting in equipment damage and risk of electric shock

TL;DR: Cables were connected incorrectly, resulting in irreversible damage to the amplifier and speakers . The internal wires have also been disconnected and the connection lock is weak. FATAL quality control error. Me: Professional audio engineer with experience in electronics. I know what I am doing. At night we could only get sound from one monitor. It turned out that this was due to the end of the speaker being loose and not fitting properly into the connector. I had to twist the cable to hold it. The second time I used them, I have the right channel from both monitors and the left channel from neither. Mysterious but looks like an issue with the amp so I spent hours in the amp just to make sure it was working properly. On a whim, the opened speakon ends up with a cable, only to pull out one of the wires screwed in. The screw was not tightened! Next thing I found was that the wires inside the Spicon connection were connected to the wrong pins (2- and 2+, not 1- and 1+). Since most amplifiers can optionally use all 4 pins to output both channels on the same cable, this meant that a monitor with a bad cable was getting the wrong channel. This also meant that I ran at 4 ohms all night instead of 8 ohms before, which is very bad for the amp. THIS IS NOT A MISTAKE CABLES SHOULD MAKE. If the connectors are connected incorrectly in any other way, it can damage the speakers or even CAUSE ELECTRIC SHOCK OR DEATH! I can see that most reviewers had no issues with these cables, but this quality control failure is serious. when working with live electricity and expensive equipment. If I were you I would stay very, very far away from them until they improve their quality control. Please buy literally anything other than these if you are not a professional gamer.
