Review on 🐶 Heavy Duty Nylon Martingale Dog Collar by Country Brook Petz by Lynn Walker

I wanted to give this a higher rating but I just can't. This is a fairly durable and well made collar. I love that it's easy to use as it just slips over my dog's head, no buckles or other things to fiddle with. The only major flaw I found with this collar is the loop that flips over and is sewn on to secure the metal ring that holds the floating webbing/collar loop. It was hot cut and has very sharp edges. My dog started bleeding from neck ulcers shortly after wearing this collar. A few weeks later, when I couldn't heal the wounds, I carefully inspected the collar and found these sharp edges. I ended up trying to cut and fix those sharp edges and corners and had some success, but they're still sharp. The only way to fix this is to cut off the entire end, leaving the collar prone to weakening and fraying of the fabric. I haven't used it since and will only use it as a spare collar. Maybe his fur will grow back on his neck where it hurt him. Poor puppy.
