This is the perfect size for my Dritz Omnigear Project Case, 13.5" x 14" x 2.5", which I take with me when I go Working on a project away from home Personally I cut from a ruler rather than a mat but the markings are easy to read on the mat This is a great size for cutting those dreaded half square triangles or other small details but I would I don't have to worry about cutting strips with it. Actually intended for pieces of fabric that have already been cut out. Iron Side' also works well with my travel iron. Overall I think it's a good product.
