I bought a set of canvases. If you just get into it, it's a lot of fun. I recommend taking a cup. I use one that is around 6-8 oz. This canvas was 8x8 for reference. For this I have "folded" the color. This is excellent for the price and I felt I got my money's worth. These are two ounce bottles. You will be surprised how little paint is needed.
