There were some issues with the installation but Warn's customer service responded quickly 1) Guide rail mounting plate. Bought Warn specific mounting hardware for my ATV. The base plate fits perfectly. Attach the fairlead to the fairlead bracket (complete with baseplate) and then attempt to install the winch and fairlead bracket to the baseplate. nope The Hawse mounting screws caused the mounting posts to slide back 1/4 inch. It could have been designed for something other than this particular winch. Anyway, I had to spend an hour re-drilling the fairlead mounting plate. Client. Support told me that Warn is moving more towards individual mounting plates, but this can be an issue on some ATVs that require individual clew plates. /4-3/8" of the mounting hole where it touched down. Luckily there was enough thread for a longer screw, which I then had to run to the hardware store and buy. Again, the explanation here was double so if you're using a double plate assemble, do yourself a favor and measure the lock washer, mounting plates and winch to see how long your bolt *should* actually be and make sure you bought a hardened stainless steel bolt that is the same except for the length fits the supplied screws 3) Wiring too short! and too long! outside of a potential mounting location, even next to or behind the battery compartment.(And I have a mid-size quad, not a monster quad.) So the customer service here was extremely helpful asked me about the sizes i needed and they offered me a set of blue/yellow ones, slightly longer, delivered free of charge Conclusion: I still hope this winch will work given the problems i I've had so far will be exceptionally good. I have to say that Warn's customer service was top notch! Explanations were explanations, not excuses, and they did what was necessary to solve the problem. After connecting I will change the rating depending on how everything works. Post-installation update: The promised warning cables have arrived, just the right length, and installed well. I bought a set of heavy duty wire cutters and pliers and a set of end caps and trimmed the wires that were too long to fit perfectly. Then my son helped me to properly unwind/wind the cable. The winch is very quiet and everything worked perfectly.
