Does exactly what it says on the tin. You must have one of them. Replace that lousy bathroom fan that came with your RV. Be sure to measure your wife's range before deciding against buying a remote-controlled model. I have to give my wife a short queue to the pool so she can control it. I didn't purchase the remote control because reviewers commented that the sound of the lid opening and closing bothered them at night when the temperature was changing. Takes more time to remove the old fan than people claim. This is the hardest part of the job. I would add that this is the second MaxxFan in the RV. The other is a wall mounted unit that closes when it rains. On our last trip, we learned that light rain disables the fan from the first drop until the sensor dries up. Hence this second fan. After installing this fan I had an issue with the first fan (it turned out to be dead) which I solved by disconnecting the rain sensor wire from the control board. Now we have two fans whenever we want and the new one can be used even in tropical rain.
