I wish I had bought this sooner!

Highly recommended! I installed this fan in a 1988 Coleman SunValley trailer tent with no fan. Lowering the internal temperature by more than 15 degrees than normal during operation. Draws less than 3 amps (high) and 0.6 amps (low) and is relatively quiet. The tightly woven mesh screen adds noise at higher speeds due to air confinement, but is dense enough to keep mosquitoes out. With no mesh or with a wider mesh, this fan keeps the whisper quiet and bugs can't fly in in exhaust mode (simply…

Louder than the Fantastic fan we put in the previous motorhome

Does exactly what it says on the tin. You must have one of them. Replace that lousy bathroom fan that came with your RV. Be sure to measure your wife's range before deciding against buying a remote-controlled model. I have to give my wife a short queue to the pool so she can control it. I didn't purchase the remote control because reviewers commented that the sound of the lid opening and closing bothered them at night when the temperature was changing. Takes more time to remove the old fan than

Fantastic for RV parts and accessories

Yes it gets 5 stars. I'm glad that instead of a fantastic fan, I have maximum air. My friend had an awesome fan and from what I could see it used more power and was noisier. .But the biggest advantage of max air is the integrated rain cover. The rain cover rises and falls with the cover, giving you a lot less profile, so to speak. In this case having a lower profile was very important as the rain covers block the light trying to reach my solar panels. This Max Air design allows you to run the…

2 defective fans in a row.

I bought this "Deluxe" MaxxFan for my RV and it started failing on the second day. Installation took much longer than others have stated. I think this is because removing the old fan and cleaning the fairing can take a lot more effort on some RVs than on vans and trucks. The first thing that struck me was the difference in quality between the original RV fan and that cheap plastic block. The standard fan assembly is made from a solid metal frame, while this fan is made from inferior plastic…

Fire Hazard and Warranty Nightmare

Purchased October 2018. Worked for three months as needed. We are preparing the camper for the trip in April. Turned on the fan to check. There was smoke and the smoke alarm went off. The fan is still running, but disabling the automatic temperature requires restarting the fan performance. Now I have a fire hazard on my roof, but AirXCel isn't worried about that; They want me to start troubleshooting the components. -------------- Now we are engaged in after-sales service; Somebody kill me now!

Replace Standard Folding Vents with Maxxair Heavy Duty Vents

I have a 28ft Keystone Passport trailer with two "standard" roof vents. One above the bathroom, the other above the kitchen. My first MAXXAIRUnit that I bought was to replace the bathroom unit because the bathroom fan just seemed like a noise maker. The fan was about 4 inches in diameter and didn't move much air. We've worked on RVs before and it was a breeze to remove the old fan and vent frame and replace with this one. Before proceeding to replace the vent with this, make sure you have the…
