Review on Maxxair 00-05100K MaxxFan: Efficient Ventillation Fan with White Lid and Convenient Manual Opening Keypad Control by Jim Agosta

Revainrating 1 out of 5

2 defective fans in a row.

I bought this "Deluxe" MaxxFan for my RV and it started failing on the second day. Installation took much longer than others have stated. I think this is because removing the old fan and cleaning the fairing can take a lot more effort on some RVs than on vans and trucks. The first thing that struck me was the difference in quality between the original RV fan and that cheap plastic block. The standard fan assembly is made from a solid metal frame, while this fan is made from inferior plastic. The functionality of the fan could be improved, but looks like a loss of quality. I sent the fan back and exchanged it. The second also began to fail after working for a day or two with no complaints. I have found that the problem is with the control board and possibly the thermostat. If you use the fan in relatively cooler locations, you may not experience this issue until you run the fan in warmer locations. or the production line has a design defect that the seller/company may even be aware of - they do not guarantee fans purchased from Revain. After returning fans I bought from Revain I bought another one just like that but from a different website. which specializes in RV parts. Essentially the same fan but made at a later date/year and still good after a few weeks of use.
