I've just started using these silicone tea towels but they seem to be working well so far. They don't seem to hold soap as well as a traditional sponge, but I always felt like refilling the sponge with soap. I have a home bakery, so the number of dishes is endless, as well as a consumer safety issue to prevent bacteria from multiplying. I love that these sponges don't contain as much bacteria and can be thrown in the dishwasher to sanitize (I put a nuclear bomb on my sponges for 30 seconds to kill the germs). I also love that when my dishwasher is full, I can just use this washcloth to wash the sink and then throw the dishes. This saves me the hassle of an extra "dishwashing sponge". It takes some getting used to and the dishes you wash have to be completely damp in order to be used later (you know how you can press just a little bit with a traditional sponge so your dishes get wet)? All in all worth a try to see if you like them. It's a small investment that can make a big difference in your kitchen.
